The introduction of the TECU® alloy materials – TECU® Brass, TECU® Bronze & TECU® Gold – has widened the range of durable and maintenance-free natural colours offered by the high-quality and environmentally-friendly TECU® materials.

  

The TECU® materials:

 

Copper is one of the few metals with intrinsic colour properties; by producing different alloys we can alter both initial colour and weathering characteristics.

  

Environmentally 'green' (BRE A/A+ rating), the TECU® materials range is suitable for Façade Cladding, Roof Cladding and Interior Cladding, and offers the following maintenance-free and durable colours, with the greatest distinction to an inland façade:

 

- TECU® Classic

Mill-finish "bright copper" - weathers through various hues during initial weathering, to establish a brown oxide layer that lasts for many years on inland facades. Roof surfaces eventually develop a green patina layer after several decades.

 

- TECU® Oxid

TECU® Classic copper with a pre-oxidised surface layer, to skip the bright phase of new copper - to start off dark, then weather naturally as per natural copper.

 

- TECU® Brass

Starts golden, and weathers through various lively shades to yield brown hues.

 

- TECU® Bronze

More consistent initial weathering, the best choice for a lasting ‘deep rich brown copper’ façade.

 

- TECU® Patina

Pre-patinated copper, aged to give a true crystalline patina surface, that develops further over time.

 

- TECU® Zinn

A workable material, this tin-plated copper has all the advantages of copper but weathers from silvery to grey.

 

- TECU® Gold

A copper-aluminum alloy, starts off as shiny gold and mellows over time to warm golden hues for facades.
