Ms Cynthia first met Dr. Suzuki at Steven's Point Suzuki Institue in the 1980's in Wisconsin while she was getting her SAA teacher training. Her teacher trainers encouraged her to go to Japan for at least 3 months. She left in 1989 in February and landed in the Tokyo airport on the day of Hiro Hito's funeral. The next day she became one of the newest students of this violin teacher who was born at the turn of the century. Much to her amazement she ended up staying 3 years and graduating from TEI in Matsumoto, Japan. In 1992 she returned to start her own Suzuki program at the Talent Education Center.
