I live on an island in Puget Sound, in the great Pacific Northwest, Washington State, north of Seattle. I am constantly inspired by all the scenic beauty around me. The location I am in, allows me the views of two snow capped mountain ranges, plus water and beaches. I love seeing all the wildlife that is here.

For the last couple of years, I have totally immersed myself into the Fiber Art world. Sometimes I process raw wool and dye it to the colors I want. I love seeing it all drying in the yard, after I have washed and dyed it. It is so colorful! I love needle felting and felting, and working with wool and other fibers. I needle felt assorted animal and botanical sculptures and needle felt landscape and seascape tapestries. I also knit handbags and baskets, that I felt (also called fulling) to give them an interesting texture and look. My pieces are very labor intensive and take quite awhile to make. It is a labor of love, because I truly enjoy what I am doing! I have posted pictures so you can see what needle felting is all about.

Thank you for stopping by!

I love to see Tecopia's work! I hope she's able to show some off here soon. :) She created our beautiful Needle Felting Etsy Street Team (NFEST) tapestry and donated it to us after all that hard work to send to Etsy HQ in NYC. Such generosity! She has created whimsical, detailed sculptures as well as unbelievable tapestries (where light rays shine through to a forest ground). She's a terrific artist, a wonderful friend and just a kind and generous person all around. Her artwork is definitely worth the wait! But, if you can't wait you can always check out her etsy shop Tecopia.etsy.com Gina - RoseThistleArtworks
