Mission: Team Green’s purpose is to educate, enlighten and inspire people to make the everyday choices to create a greener planet. Using compelling nature photography and informational graphics Team Green will communicate the important environmental issues of the day and suggest ways for people to contribute to the health of the planet.

Endangered Species Photography Project

Started by naturalist -photographer, Carol Freeman, in 2004. Her goal is to photograph all the threatened & endangered species in Illinois (about 500) and then to use the images to help save these species and the environments they live in. She will work with Team Green Environmental Network to create a travelling show, website and brochures that will showcase the beauty of these species and suggest ways everyone can help to ensure their survival. This project will take many years and thousands of hours to complete. Carol is working with the top naturalists in Illinois to help her find these rare species so she can photograph them. This project is funded by donations to Team Green and your help is desperately needed, and greatly appreciated. Please consider making a contribution, see the form below.

“Because of their rarity, endangered and threatened species possess an aesthetic appeal to the public that cannot be overestimated. In general, rare organisms are valued, the sight of them is genuinely thrilling, and their loss is mourned. The recovery of a species can be a success for all to celebrate.”
