Now onto the important stuff...

I am a high school special education teacher. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and special education with a concentration in psychology. I also have a Master's degree in educational technology. I earned both of my degrees from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.

I enjoy taking photographs, working out, and reading in my spare time. I have just recently taken up the photography thing and am trying trying to get out and get as much practice as possible so that I can get better. I now have 2 cameras. My first, purchased during the spring of 2007, is an Olympus Stylus 740. My most recent purchase...and my pride and joy...is a Canon Rebel XTi (edit...now a 40D). I am just learning how to use it so any help would be much appreciated! I'm not looking to make a living taking and selling my photographs but I would like to sell a few prints here and there. I am armed and ready with business cards (made on MOO) and am looking forward to selling puzzles, beach bags, t-shirts, coffee mugs, and other various items to anyone willing to buy. If you are interested please drop me an email.

In the few short months that I have been doing all of this I have already sold a few prints and have recently completed some work for the Lorain County Visitor's Bureau Backroads and Beaches Website. I was also one of the 2007 Lorain County Beautiful Awards Photographers. My favorite things to take pictures of are lighthouses, sunsets, flowers, and architecture.

If you have any ofther questions feel free to ask. If you would like to use any of my photographs please feel free to ask and most likely I will grant permission. I will need to allow you to "save as" through my Flickr site so send me a Flickr mail or an email so I can unlock my site for you. If you are interested in buying a print shoot me an email is well. I am more than willing to work out a deal with you in regard to pricing. As always, as much feedback as possible would be greatly appreciated. I welcome positive feedback as well as constructive criticism. I also offer constructive criticism to others as well. I think everyone has something to offer in this arena. The best photographer in the world and the wort photographer in the world have CC to offer others. I do however act like a teacher when offering CC I start with a positive and end with a positive but sandwich my CC in the middle. I think there is a nice way to offer CC and I try to do that. Being mean will not be tolerated by me and should not be tolerated by anyone.

Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. Here's to making many great friendships here on Flickr!!!

I highly admire her work and always look forward to new additions to her stream. She is an increadible friend on here and an increadible photographer. Both her and her husband Howard were some of the first friends I developed on Flickr. Thank you Holly and Howard! Michael Davis

Holly is an amazing photographer and an even more amazing person! She always offers very helpful critisism. She is good at what she does. I appreciate all of her comments that she has made on my photos. Maybe one day us Ohioans can get together and she can show me how it's done! :) haha

Aside from her being an unofficial spokesperson for Lorain county Ohio. Holly takes wonderful photos...If we're lucky she'll toss in a history lesson about the location as well. I can't wait to see what she and her husband post as they scour the amish countryside only hours from their home.... It's not all sunset… Read more

I can't wait to see what she and her husband post as they scour the amish countryside only hours from their home.... It's not all sunsets and rises for there are plenty of other surprises among the depths of field her photographic talents yield. Great work with a fine stream of photos to show for it.

You never fail to draw my eye to the exact point of the photo which is intended. However, after the initial focal point is viewed, I find my eyes swirling around the rest of each photo for far too long. Congratulations to you for having the ability to do this. I enjoy your stream so much. Keep up the great work.

The Teach is one of nicest peeps I've met on Flickr. She's also a talented photographer, and a big supporter of "Exposure Cleveland." What's not to like?! :-)

Getting to know Teacherholly and her work has been an education. Describing her and her work requires a workshop on the use of adjectives. Holly and her work educates, illuminates, enlightens and illustrates. It is also professional, solid, and first-rate. Her skills and viewpoints are broad and encompass an enormous perspective. She's also daring, audacious and fascinating. Of course, any description of Holly, her work and her comments, couldn't leave out such terms as sweet, sexy, and saucy! In describing her life and history of back trouble, Holly has been inspirational, touching, and deeply moving. She's also amusing, humorous, and lol hysterically funny. Most of all, Holly teaches by example. I've personally learned so much about photography and life from her that it beggars description. I'm sure that this is true for many. For myself, it's been a summer of surgery with pain both physical and emotional. Without knowing it, Holly has been a shining star who has led me through this dark period. It would be impossible to thank her enough. Let me conclude by noting that Holly is a beautiful person - both outside and in.
