All photographs are taken by myself unless stated. Thank you for viewing my Flickr images. My interest in railways started back in 1962. I used go on the dmu from Halifax to Leeds frequently. Weekend trips in dad's car took me to York, Doncaster, Crewe and Oxenholme. After getting a motorbike in late 1964 I travelled often to Mirfield, Holbeck, HM and Preston. There are also quite a lot of aircraft shots taken mostly at Manchester but also LBA, LHR and a few abroad.
My collection of photographs varies hugely in quality, some are quite dreadful - but I shall post the majority of these, good or bad, if only for my own memories and record. After 63 years in Halifax, West Yorkshire, I now live in south Lincolnshire.

I can only assume figures are down each year as the number of enthusiasts declines, particular those who remember the days of steam. 2025 has seen a near 50% reduction in viewings.

Terry has got some fantastic shots of steam and diesel from 1962 onwards. I especially like his photos from Halifax, the Calder Valley and Healey Mills, as I am from Halifax too. Also well done to Terry in providing much detail in the captions. His early 1970's photos hits the button with me as that is when I started travelling around - on that hourly Leeds/Manchester dmu he mentions.
