Photographer based in Austin, TX. Love to travel with my camera gear for the sole purpose of shooting beautiful scenery, architecture, cityscapes, and travel images. Also interested in studio, fashion/portrait, and sports photography although I have not yet posted much of that genre. I am also hoping to get more into the video side of things as well, I have a Canon HD camcorder but it has not gotten a whole lot of use yet.

I also love sports (namely american football), and playing guitar although I don't make time for it much these days. I have also enjoyed 3D rendering and animation, but again, not so much these days. Favorite past times also include enjoying a cold beer or three and home brewing beer.

Currently using Canon 5D and assorted lenses, Gitzo CF tripod with Acratech ballhead, cokin Z-pro holder, 4x5 Hitech ND Grads, Singhray 3 stop reverse ND grad, Singhray Vari n Duo, and a BW slim polarizer. Image processing tools include Adobe CS2, Lightroom, and very rarely, Photomatix. Regarding HDR, I am trying to use it less and less and have maybe 5-10 images currently posted that use this technique. I believe its an effective tool when used sparingly and under the right conditions but when you can look at a thumbnail and guess HDR then its probably too much.... but I have done it myself a few times :-)
