My name is Taylor Dixon. I'm a mother, fiance, hair stylist, and aspiring photographer. My favorite kinds of photos are those with faces in them. When I really try to remember what it was that made me start enjoying photography in the first place, I remember being small at my grandparents' house and begging my Nanna to pull out her giant photo albums. After all the dust was wiped away, we'd flip through pictures of my mother at Disney World when she was a child, or a tattered black-and-white photo of my Nanna being bathed outside in a tin tub as a baby, and sometimes some of myself playing dress-up in my mother's old baton-twirling outfit with sequins and tassels. (holy run-on sentence, Batman!)

Something about looking through all of those memories warmed my soul. It wasn't until high school that I realized that I wanted to play a hand at capturing those memories. That's about the time that I discovered Flickr and started to upload some of my more photoshop-happy photos. I've come a long way with my photography, but I still have a long ways to go.

While trying to figure out a name for my photography, I tried to envision my Nanna again recalling the days that the photos that we were looking at were taken. She could always remember the place, time, faces, and what followed the taking of the photograph. All I could think of, was wow. I really hope one day my grandchildren will look at my work the same way I marveled at these pictures and that they would Remember Me.
