Dairy Farmer, Grandfather ; Amateur Birdo.

Born and raised on the land and worked it since leaving school in 1966. Have always had a casual interest in the birds around the farm. Joined the local birdwatchers in 2008 and started to learn about a much wider range of birdlife and their behavior, habitat, migration etc.,

Purchased my first camera with telescopic lens from a fellow birder in 2011 and joined Flickr shortly afterwards. This year, 2016, I have upgraded both. Not a photographer by nature I prefer to be regarded as a bird lover who takes some photos.

I appreciate those who view my photos and those who leave comments, and generally try and return visit to view and leave a comment when I am able as a way of saying thankyou rather than adding an extra comment to my tally.
