I am an arts and entertainment reporter for the St. Cloud Times with a past as an artist, an entertainer (click here to hear some of my music) and a photographer. I spend most of my time these days writing and reporting for the Life team, but I still get behind the camera often in my free time with studio and freelance work, and every once in a while I shoot on the job.

Outside of the Times, I shoot a lot of portraiture, weddings and random snapshots of daily life. My favorite lens in my camera bag is a Sigma 14mm -- it's extremely wide without being fisheye.

My last newspaper job was with the Albert Lea Tribune as a photographer, reporter, page designer, multimedia person -- you name I did it (everything but selling ads). My photos from the Tribune in 2006 earned three Associated Press awards: 1st place for spot news, 1st place pictorial and 2nd place in the multiple images category (I will post these award-winnin photos soon).

Here are some recent audio slideshows I have done for the St. Cloud Times:

Quilt shop music

Lizardman's sideshow performance

Music Jam at BoDiddley's

Christian hard-core at the Java Joint

Here is a link to a slideshow to my year-in-review photos from the Albert Lea Tribune featuring one of the songs I've written and recorded:
