We’re a nonprofit organization helping urban schools give kids more time, more ways, and more opportunities to learn so that everyone can succeed. We’re dedicated to improving the school experience and life prospects of disadvantaged students who are poorly served by traditional schools that operate on outdated schedules. Unequal childhoods become unequal adulthoods. We work to reverse those inequities by making smarter, fairer, more coordinated use of the dollars and talent cities already invest in schools and kids’ healthy development.

We expand the school day to give disadvantaged students more opportunities to discover and develop their talents; more support to overcome the challenges of poverty; and more time to achieve at the high levels essential for success in the global workplace.
