Mohammed Arifur Rahman Choudhari….flickrly known as Tarin1975 (I never kno how n where this Tarin name came from) but I luv to call him Tarin-da. I hav never seen him in person but still can feel him as jovial as his ID pic suggests. Being in Flickr, its not that hard to find a good photographer in a person, and I found that very easily in Tarinda too by just peeping thru his photostream. What is real hard to find here is a good person in a photographer – and I too found that in Tarinda …but this time thru a rigorous way. It was that time when I just planned and created a photographers’ group called NOTHING BUT PHOTOGRAPHY with hardly few people by my side. By virtue of being a member of SUDHUI BANGLA, I got the support of Tarinda n many other fellow photographers as member of my group since the very initial days. But what went above the expectation level is a huge support by Tarinda during those of my rough days of demanding situations ….. he filled up my empty group pool by listlessly pouring his gr8 jobs in it, he participated in all my contests without a thought of if sumbody else wud participate or not n provided very valuable suggestions when some big crisis arises. There is definitely no exaggeration …if anyone happens to visit the group, will find Tarin1975 as the highest contributor in the grp pool, will find his entry in almost all contests, will find his input probably in all the discussions and most importantly will find so many implemented rules derived from his suggestions only. So now it is upto the reader to decide what sort of guy he is…. I only will say that he is a genuine kind hearted no-ego human being with the gift of the grab of PHOTOGRAPHY.

I haven't met Tarin yet. He lives in Bangladesh, I reside thousands of miles apart from my beloved Bangladesh but I keep in regular contact with my family, friends and some special people like Tarin through our passion; Photography. This is the media we talk to each other. We must have talked and became closer to each other. Photography brought us together, it must have been, if not, why Tarin calls me "Shahed Vai" and I feel like he is my younger brother! It sounds like... quite personal! Because, actually, it is personal. Photography helped us to build this relationship. The young man that I never seen in my life before, why do I feel like if one day I am lost in Dhaka city where I do not know anyone, as a result I started to panic; right at that critical moment, if I see Tarin is passing by and I call his name "Tarin...", he WILL come and hug me. He will then take me to his home safely. He will then make absolutely sure that I am in safe hands before he would let me go... why do I feel like that! It is all about photography. Photography is not just clicking the shutter and think... "I have taken some great photos..." It is the media to me what teaches us to love. It must teach us to make this bond... LOVE. Love in the widest possible sense. Photography tells us to love a blue dragonfly, a red ant, an orange butterfly, the serene water, the blue sky with white clouds and so forth. I have noticed, Tarin is into this love. As a photographer myself, I feel reassured and I feel proud to see I am surrounded by a group of other photographers where Tarin is sparking like a star. I wish his long active life so that one day he leaves a legend for others to follow. See you Tarin, one day...
