A scholar of ancient Hebrew and Jewish literature, an academic administrator, and writer, I have been a keen photographer since my 4-H days.

In 2007 I received a Sony Alpha A100, reviving my love and passion for photography. In 2011 I stepped up and purchased a Nikon D7000 and I am now a card carrying Nikon fan. I now shoot a D810, a D4, and occasionally a Nikon J1 (sometimes with the underwater housing.)
