Hi my name is Tania, I'm from South Africa. I have been into photography ever since I can remember.

Mostly I take photos of wild animals, flowers and landscape scenes. I also enjoy macro photography and and making interesting shots of Vintage & Classic cars.

I started out using a Sony DSC-H1 Digicam, it takes stunning shots but after more than three years using it the little 5.1MP camera just wasn't up to the job anymore.

My next camera was a Fujifilm Finepix s2000HD 10MP ( couldn't afford a decent digital SLR at that stage yet )

In 2009 I bought my first DSLR, a Sony A200, I was very happy with it and enjoyed using it while I had it. A few years later I upgraded to newer Sony, the A37 - bought a dedicated flash unit and 50mm Macro Lens. The quality of the images that comes out of the 50mm macro are really outstanding.

Fast forward a few more years, I decided it's time for another upgrade. Unfortunately Sony packed up and left my country, so buying another Sony would sadly not be possible or practical.

I had a look around at offerings from Nikon and Canon, but totally unexpectedly the Samsung NX1 caught my attention. So as of 2015 I'm the proud owner of a brand new NX1.

The major drawback switching manufacturers is the fact that I had to rebuild my kit from scratch, but I'm slowly getting all the gear and lenses that I want.
