Meet Your Hosts

Mark and Felicia Miller own and operate Talaheim Lodge.

After working at several other Alaskan lodges, Mark started building Talaheim Lodge back in 1976, taking some of the better details of these other lodges and incorporating it into Talaheim. Mark has been flying the Alaskan bush for more than 34 years and has over 15,000 hours flying time. He is aircraft mechanic, both fixed wing and helicopter pilot, and an avid fly fisherman. Mark’s table humor and interesting Alaskan stories complements each evening.

Felicia helps supervise the running of the lodge. She divides her time between Talaheim and Anchorage where she expedites for the lodge. Felicia’s gardening skills make Talaheim more of a home than a lodge...after all, Talaheim means “home on the Tal” in German.
