Expressing myself in words is not my forte. Every day my mind is filled with ideas, impressions, and opinions, making me constantly frustrated when I can’t clearly construct those thoughts into words the way I would like. Lately as I’ve been learning more about myself, my heart has become heavy for individuals around the world who lack a voice altogether. Forced to remain silent, their ideas and opinions have no value. Art is the outlet I use to let the world speak through me. I want my art to be the voice which the disregarded and invisible never had. Expressing these thoughts using color and texture, while limited to no specific guidelines, has always been one of my favorite feelings. I value creativity and uniqueness, and strive for my art to be something the viewer can use to see through my eyes into a place they’ve never been able to enter – Somewhere they can learn about themselves, the people around them, and the world they live in.
