I got a digital SLR camera Feb ‘08 and started shooting whatever, wherever. From landscapes to babies, to moving cars and penlights in the dark. From the bright lights of Las Vegas, to moonless late nights atop the hills of Sausalito, if anything seems interesting to me, I’ll try and get a shot.
After seeing so many beautiful/inspiring/amusing pictures by other people (mostly here in Flickr), I decided to make a serious hobby out of always being the designated photographer (TagaKodak) at kids’ parties. So I started reading up on the how-tos, on the what’s-hot and the tips-and-tricks, and taught myself by doing, by copying, and through lots of trial and error. Mostly error.
One camera, one lens, one tripod. And one very understanding wife. I’m all set, and good to go.
Now, hold that pose…
===update===
In addition to my Canon 40D and Tamron 17-50 2.8, I now also have a Canon 60D and Canon 70-300mm lens. A few DIY modifiers, and a couple of speedlights. I have been playing around strobist stuff and have since been taking more people pictures than before.
