Equal parts Black Sea German, Volgan Russian, quarter French Canadian and Ojibwa, I grew up on wheat fields of the Palouse. Daughter of a wheat farmer, child of an artist, this enchanting land surrounded by undulations of hills and waving grain will have my heart forever.
