Basic psychology tells us that we tend to pay attention more to that and those that are closest to us in physical proximity, sometimes choosing to cast a distant eye to areas and the human condition far away from us in our frequently limited knowledge and understanding. Levan's stream of images defies that notion- he is a man who shows us beauty, humanity, suffering, dreams, reality, and hints of fantasy of a place that he calls home and makes us feel as though we were there with him. some time ago we're continuously bumping into each other on the flickr website, watching each other's back, checking each other's style, giving support one another - as we're both into monochrome urban "fragments" and cross-processed and/or ORWO-like ancient looking snapshots. well, Levan outdone me long time ago and i'm very hapy for him. why? because he's got an eye for environmental portraits and urban document, i'm lacking bollocks for. that's why ;-)
