Welcome to my photo stream. Though I use the name "szoksnapshots," I don't consider my photographs to be snapshots per the usual meaning of being an informal picture. Each of these photographs give you a "snapshot" of my life and what I see through my camera. I consider myself an amateur photographer. Photography is my hobby.
I first took up photography way back in high school and have had a few SLRs since then. During that time, I would say I took mostly snapshots.
I'd say that I became more seriously focused on photography while spending time with my then infant daughter as we waited for my wife, who was taking classes at a nearby community college. In short, my daughter and I ended up at the Fullerton train station one afternoon while my wife was attending her class. I noticed people taking pictures of the trains that would pass through the station. The next Saturday, I brought my Canon AE-1 Program along with us, and my interest in rail photography began on that autumn day in 2001.
I entered the digital age in August of 2004 when I purchased a Canon 10D. I have since up graded to a 5D since it was affordable even though the 5D Mk II would be coming out soon. I knew I could not afford the new edition; however, I am very satisfied with my decision to go with the classic first edition of the 5D. I have also added a Canon 50D to my collection.
In October 2011, my daughter started swimming competively. My daughter's swim practices and swim meets have provided me with new subjects for my photography, so more and more images related to my daughter's swim activities have been and will be added to this photo stream.
