The name synthesized nirvana isn't a drug or 90s grunge band reference. It's a line from something I wrote back in college: "... this synthesized nirvana has not moved for months." referring to those plastic stars that you can stick on the ceiling. Someone who occupied the dorm room prior to me had left them behind.
