I'm a keen film photographer and use the Olympus OM system, with an OM-1n, OM-2SP and OM-4 T.

I have the following glass:

Sigma 16mm f\2.8

Zuiko 24mm f\2.8

Zuiko 28mm f\2.8

Zuiko 35-70mm f\3.5

Zuiko 50mm f\1.4

Zuiko 50mm f\1.8

Zuiko 100mm f\2.8

Zuiko 200mm f\4

My favourite lens is the 50mm f\1.4. My most commonly used lens in the 35-70mm f3.5, due to its convenience for travel. My travel kit comprises of the 24mm, 35-70mm and 100mm. If it's a long trip I take both bodies and if I have extra space I try to include the 50mm and 16mm. I use flash occasionally and have the T-32 and T-20 flash units, the latter which I use for compact travel.

I don't leave the house without my Olympus XA, usually loaded with Ilford FP4. It's a great street camera and often delivers spontaneous and surprising results.

I also own a Rolleiflex K4B and Rolleicord Va II, which are both a joy to work with. I use these mostly for landscapes and studio portraits for wet printing on 16x12 in the darkroom.

I have a Wray Stereographic 3D camera, which I dev and scan to print stereoscopic images for use with Dr Brian May's OWL. I mostly shoot black and white 35mm for these, either Ilford Pan-F or Rollei Retro 80S.

Trying out different films is always fun but I tend to stick to my favourites. These include Ilford Pan-F and Ilford FP4 for landscape with Ilford HP5 and Kodak Tri-X for general use. The Rollei films are also great to work with. I process my own films in Rodinal, Ilford DDX and Ilford Perceptol.

I used to use Kodachrome 64, and still dip into slide film, using Velvia 50 occasionally. However, I'm finding myself using Kodak Ektar more and more as it yields superb sharpness and scans easily. For colour I rarely use faster than ISO 100, with the exception of Portra 160. I also have a small stockpile of Fuji Reala 100 which is slowly depleting.

I enjoy taking pictures of animals, landscapes, buildings and people going about their everyday lives. I'm influenced by Ansel Adams, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Blossfeldt, David Bailey, Patrick Lichfield, Angus McBean, Cecil Beaton and Dr Brian May.

Film photography is a major part of my life; I see each day as an opportunity to capture places, moments and moods.
