Welcome to my amateur photography, where the tiniest details come to life! My passion is capturing the beauty of insects and spiders, with a side interest in other macro subjects, birds and fungi when the weather cools down. Through my lens, I aim to reveal the hidden wonders of the micro-world that often go unnoticed.

I'm a perpetual learner, always eager to improve my skills, and in my free time I can be found outdoors whenever the weather allows. Every photo is in the natural environment of my subjects, mostly hand-held. Given that most of my macro targets hardly ever sit still, I rely on single shots to freeze those the moments. For this kind of photography, I usually use flash with a homemade diffuser to freeze the moment and help bring out the intricate details. As of Autumn 2024 I have also been experimenting with focus stacking of still subjects, such as fungi, using natural light and longer exposures.

Beyond photography, I am a dedicated naturalist with a keen interest in identifying the creatures I capture. The iNaturalist community has been invaluable, helping me to discover and document the common as well as the rare and seldom-photographed insects. Here is My iNaturalist profile.

Unless described otherwise my photos are taken in or around Warsaw, Poland.

You have a lovely portfolio. I am particularly impressed with your invertebrates, excellent work given the constraints of being very small, lighting and depth of view. A pleasure to view.
