Welcome to my photostream! I am an amateur photographer who enjoys capturing the beauty of insects and spiders, with a side interest in other macro subjects, such as fungi, as well as birds when the weather cools down. I have always been interested in nature, but it the macro world that captured my imagination since 2017, when I decided to buy my first DSLR and a macro lens to go with it.
Always eager to improve my skills, in my free time I can be found outdoors whenever the weather allows. Every photo is taken in the field and mostly hand-held. For those of my macro targets that don't sit still, I rely on single shots with flash and a homemade diffuser to freeze the moment. As well as capturing the instant, this also helps to bring out intricate details, often helpful in identification. Since the Autumn of 2024 I started to experiment with focus bracketing of still subjects, such as fungi, using natural light and longer exposures.
Beyond photography, I am a keen naturalist with an interest in identifying the creatures I photograph. The iNaturalist community has been invaluable in this, helping me to discover and document the common as well as the rare and seldom-photographed insects. Here is My iNaturalist profile.
Unless specifically mentioned or tagged otherwise, my photos are taken in or around Warsaw, Poland.

Very nice shots of insects!! Awesome! Regards!
You have a lovely portfolio. I am particularly impressed with your invertebrates, excellent work given the constraints of being very small, lighting and depth of view. A pleasure to view.
