The best description of my flickr account is indeed "photostream". You might consider it also as my photo diarrhea. I just store things that at that moment might be useful or interesting to keep. It's not a gallery, it's more like my work flow.

Funny, it is possible to look at my most interesting photos by year:

2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011

I keep an irregular blog about nature photography.

After my studies in biology, I got somehow involved in programming, which is my job now. But I still love biology in the broadest sense.

About photography: I remember myself being embarrased because a classmate spotted me in my green ("camouflaged") clothes while trying to photograph some birds with a very old camera. I still have some (B&W) photo's from that time, where I did encircle the photographed bird, because otherwise it wasn't clear where to find it.

Bad Wildlife Photography

Interestingly enough the above photo is currently my biggest "hit" on flickr.

I bought my first digital camera in 2005, a Canon Powershot A400. It was the cheapest model in the shop. It turned out to even have a macro-option. With that camera I found myself trying to make photo's that did not require to encircle the item. It's giving me a good time now.

In 2006 I even bought a Canon EOS 350D, with a kitlens, and some month later a Canon EF 100mm F/2.8 Macro USM lens.

Some of my photo's are also published on the wikipedia, with another (free) license.
