I've been taking pictures since I got my first Brownie camera on my 6th birthday. I had a darkroom of my own (off my bedroom) when I was a teen, and had a lot of fun using the camera club darkroom when I was working summers for Kodak during college. Pretty much gave up film and darkroom work when I discovered computer graphics in grad school.

Cameras owned throughout my life include the aforementioned Brownie (multiple-exposure heaven), several vintages of 35mm SLR (Pentax, Olympus, Ricoh), a big mistake: Minolta 110 format SLR, a point-and-shoot APS (canon?), and my current point-and-shoot digital (Kodak 6330). Oh, yeah, and many single-use plastic cameras. A bunch of my Flickr shots were taken with a borrowed Canon EOS Digital Rebel. I sure would not mind owning that one!
