Although now semi-retired I am proud to be a Blue Badge Guide for London and Northamptonshire. I am a member of the Association of Professional Tourist Guides and a founder member of the Institute of Tourist Guides. I am qualified to guide in English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish. Since 1978 I have been involved in the tourism business, both in operations and 'on the road'. I have led tours throughout the British Isles, most of Europe, the USA, Canada, Central and South America, Australia, New Zealand, China and other Asian countries, Caribbean, Pacific and Atlantic Islands to name but a few. I continue to travel extensively both for work and privately.

I feel I have developed an insight into what makes a successful trip, whether it is a morning panoramic sightseeing tour in London or an extended journey anywhere in the world. A guide should offer a fun experience based on sound research of history, local customs and culture with a thorough understanding of expectations.

I lost my wonderful husband and traveling companion in 2018 and have had to learn how to travel on my own. Although I have not given up work completely I have more time at my disposal for private travel and since Dec 2021 I am the proud owner of a small camper van called Mãia with which I hope to enjoy more and more time on the open road.

As the daughter of a professional photographer I can't remember a time when I did not have a camera. My travels have given me an opportunity to build up a collection of images which you are welcome to browse. Please remember that all images are copyright.
