I first got into photography about 18 months ago when I bought a DSLR from a friend. I would constantly hear about his latest equipment so I thought I would see what all the fuss was about.
It didn't take long for me to understand why he loved it so much but it wasn't until I moved up to Newcastle that the interest became an almost unhealthy obsession. I take mostly landscapes and seascapes. It has probably got something to do with the fantastic scenery in the North East; from the rugged landscape of Hadrian's Wall to the endless stretches of wonderful coastline. Photography gives me a reason to get outdoors and explore these great places whilst providing a much needed creative outlet.
I think I still have a lot to learn so please feel free to be honest with your comments. Don't get me wrong, I love positive feedback as much as anyone else, but constructive criticism is just as welcome as it helps me learn and improve.
I know that equipment is not the be all and end all of photography but below is a list of my current set up, which is for my benefit more than anything else. Thanks for stopping by.
