Shane has single-handedly carved his own niche from the rock face of artistic struggle, traversing the sheer face of drawing without the aid of ropes or carabiners, yet still managing to juggle up to 5 household implements at once. He's a diamond geezer. His name is of course an anagram of "Heaven has born".
Shane. He is as OCD as I am. And that's a compliment. His work brings to life the part of ourselves that we keep hidden. I have enjoyed and been inspired by his work. And I am grateful to Flickr for letting us see artists as amazing as Shane.

He uses a giant book he wrote and keeps in one corner to get his plans and ideas ...each web is something never seen before, and one that will never be repeated..while he works tirelessly and with great patience, he always has time and the generosity of spirit to check in on and appreciate the work of his fellow creatures... if you see this spider.... do NOT squash him!!! Also, I had the best time collaborating with Shane! His playful sensibility and skill with his art are amazing! Groove On Shane!

I am not sure that Shane needs yet another Flickr addict to attest to his talent, but i keep being wowed by his work, and i keep coming back for more. I would pay big bucks to spend one hour in that mind of his.
Shane has some great work going on his Flickr page! I'm especially lovin' the new work which involves a great display and test of Shane's improvised drawing skills. Plus, Shane has also been a great supporter of my own work. Thanks Shane!!

The detail in the picture is amazing and of course being an ode to Bill Maher does not hurt for adding aura to a room;) People should buy these - hang them everywhere and make altars to things like Malboro packs and fish and Shane Vorhaben too;)

Shane is one of a kind multiple-blacklining softtoner, who get's the most out of the contrasts building up unseen non-of-this-planet-worlds on tiny pieces of any kind of shrugged and pressed trees - no matter how small they come him about.
Shane Vorhaben has a wonderful original style, with a keen sense of colour and with a nice touch of off beat humour.
There's no doubt that Shane is a direct descendent from the Aztec scribes who made as elaborate drawings as he does now in their illustrated codices!
Shane's work is pure genius. His creations on matchbooks are as good as any artist to ever walk this planet. Why his work is not is The Museum of Modern Art is beyond me.
