SvarTTrasT is an Icelandic photographer, born in Reykjvik 02/10 1970 and given at birth name Jóhann Þröstur Pálmason. He lived in Karmöy and Haugesund, Norway from 1993 till 2001, where he studied and work as a painter. In Norway he change his name to Johann Trast Palmason. In 1996 he started a punk rock band with a bass player Vidar AAS that they called SvarTTrasT meaning Black Bird after Johann's second name and black hair and black clothes and interests in the Norwegian black metal scene.. He moved back to Reykjavik, Iceland, where he started photographing calling himself SvarTTrasT as a photographer. After the collapse in Iceland SvarTTrasT is back in black in Norway, at first Mo i Rana in North Norway and have now moved to Stavanger in Rogaland the south vest coast where I will be located
