I live about an hour out of Sydney NSW, in Australia, and my time is consumed by a number of different animals. My photography reflects the amount of time I spend with them...I am inspired by their movement and personality. I think my biggest challenge with the sort of photography that interests me (candid, action etc) is trying to preempt what's coming next and to be quick enough to capture it.

My home is on acreage with my Husband and my Mother where we breed, train and show Arabians (mainly Straight Egyptian and Egyptian related), Arabian Derivatives, Riding Ponies, and Welsh Mountain Ponies. I also have a few Angus cows, four dogs, four cats, a bird as well as various reptiles. My involvement in the horse industry has enabled me to be a competitor, judge, spectator and photographer at some of the finest shows around Australia and the World.

I have been photographing my own animals for some time now, and for the past 5 years I have been photographing clients animals and families under the banner of SWD Images. My photographs have been on the front page, in editorials, features and advertisements in some of Australia's, and the worlds best, horse magazines, online magazines, websites, DVD's.

I also photograph at some of Australias major horse events, as well as providing graphic design and website design for marketing and advertising purposes.
