I am fortunate in that I live in the Pacific Northwest. Here there is a broad palette of natural beauty to draw from, mountains, seas, and forests all present.

To be clear, it's not so much that I was there and had a camera, it's that I was there and happened to have a camera. It's the thereness that is the important concept. The art is to bring that thereness, the in-the-moment sense of awareness to the image sans self-consciousness. I try to transcend the mechanics of technique and summon the muse for guidance in telling the story before me. When things go well there is an arc of creativity, the experience of presence to the creation of image as story or metaphor.

When things go well, the viewer won't look at the image but through it, which brings a shift from the static ink on paper or pixels on a screen to story and emotion.

I offer prints of the images you see here. These are done using archival paper, state of the art Epson printer and are available in a range of sizes
