I was born in Bangkok, Thailand but have been living in the U.S. for the past 55 years. My interest in photography went back to my teenage years but my career did not give me a lot of free times. I am a proud father of 3 sons, paul_ark, pete ark (Arkworld) , and don_ark. I love to travel and went through several digital point and shoot cameras for the sake of convenience. A few years ago I bought my first DSLR, the Canon 30D but since then have changed to Canon 40D and then Canon 5D Mark II with several lens and have been trying to learn all the features of this camera. I also added Canon 7D with speed of 8 fps for action shots. I will need to be able to shoot it fast while travelling in a group or I may loose my group, plus I have to deal with a lot of tourists getting in the way.

On 5/25/2010, I got my Leica M9 after I pre-ordered and waited patiently for 6 months.

On 2/4/2016, I got my Leica SL which I have been using the most.

On 4/30/2020, I got Leica SL2 to replace the Leica SL.
