I got into photography after taking a class as a high school senior, using my grandmother's old Konica from the 70's. (Sadly, that camera is no longer functional and it's impossible to find parts for.) I continued my pursuit of film photography into college, where I developed an interest in alternative processes especially lith printing.

I'm also into live music photography, taking pictures of artists at concerts or music festivals. (For that, the digital camera is required.) For a long time I got tired of watching the show through my viewfinder and left the camera at home for most shows, but I've been getting back into it lately.

Apart from that, I suppose I would say my photographic interests lie largely in urban exploration, especially discovering old things, or finding unintended geometries in everyday life.

Then again, I hate describing my photography like that, because I always want to discover new techniques and practice new styles. I like to push myself to constantly move forward and try new things...sometimes I think maybe I should slow down and try to perfect one thing before trying another, but I usually find perfection to be dull.

My film pictures are shot with a Canon Rebel (the non-digital kind), and my digital pictures are shot with a Fujifilm Finepix S5200 (which combines the clunkiness and non-portability of a DSLR with the poor optics of a point-and-shoot, but hey).

Outside of photography, I'm a soon-to-graduate college senior looking to get a job in web development and/or graphic design. Other hobbies include painting, music, hiking, and biking.
