I am engineering consultant and live in Hampshire on the South Coast of the UK. I have become a keen amateur photographer and have been taking photos seriously for the last 4 years. As you have may have realised from my Flickr screen name ' Sunset Snapper' my real passion is photographing sunsets or sunrises.

I started out with a Nikon D40x DSLR and then moved to a D300 but in early 2013 I purchased the Nikon D800 which was a superb camera for sunsets as it offers such a great tonal range with amazing detail.

In 2015 I upgraded my camera body to a Nikon D810 which is an amazing camera which captures superb detail, beautiful colours and high dynamic range which adds up to the perfect camera for sunrise & sunset photography!!

I normally use Lee ND grad filters for my photography which I really recommend - expensive but very good.
