Thank you for visiting my photostream! Photography is magic -- a preservation of an essence or likeness of the past. I learn so much from others, particularly here on flickr, yet seek the creation of original images to share. I love shooting! One of my favorite subjects is birds, for their personality and detail. I like to handhold the camera for the freedom it gives to go where the action is. Another favorite subject is landscape. For this, I like to have my camera on tripod and shoot long exposure. I find this meditative. Sunrise is my favorite time of day for its combination of calm, drama and surprise. The Sunrise is the main ingredient, the rest makes the Soup. -- Allison
