Budding amateur photographer with a desire to improve my "eye" for images. Although (or maybe because?)I don't have a lot of experience in these areas, I find macro photography and high-speed freeze frames fascinating.

As a way to give something back to the society, and at the same time have fun by placing myself outside my photographic comfort zone, I volunteer as photographer at a local hospice. I have met a lot of wonderful, dedicated and comitted people this way.

Many moons ago I used to develop and print my own black and white pictures taken with my Minolta Dynax 7i. Since then I've had a handful of different digital cameras, and am these days enjoying working with a Nikon D700 and a nice pocket-able Panasonic Lumix LX3.
