Photography wasn't my hobby until the latter part of 2009. I used to love gardening, woodworking, and fishing when I lived in Virginia. I still love them, no mistake there, but since the family moved to Shanghai in 2008, I don't have a backyard, a tool shed, or near a fishing hole where I can enjoy the solitude any more. I've got to pick up something, haven't I? So here I am, a newbie (even though I've snapped tons of pictures in the past 20 years).

I find that photography is a bit like fishing. You prepare a lot, cast and cast with no results guaranteed, but you enjoy it anyways. And if you catch something? Even better.
