Suffolk Bikes is a student group at Suffolk University that works to enable bicycle riders to get around as safely, comfortably, and as much as possible! Our work includes cultivating the accessibility of bicycles for all Suffolk students, and organizing riders to enjoy everything that city cycling has to offer. Bicycle riding is environmental, economical, social, philosophical, and tons of fun. While finding a bike and getting use to Boston roads can be daunting, that is exactly why Suffolk Bikes is here.
In today's economic and environmental peril there is a simple solution to myriad problems that has been right under our nose (or between our legs) the whole time. Bicycles have made such a difference in the lives of the founders of Suffolk Bikes that we couldn't help but share our passion with our peers.
University students are a unique breed in 2009 and don't we know it. We are facing some of the most complicated challenges our country has ever known. Take a long enough look at the 'real world' and it's about as scary as riding a bike down Boylston St. after a Sox game. All too often, students want to engage these problems first hand but have a difficult time doing so. With Suffolk Bikes, students can apply their major skills and passions to a progressive and environmentally active agenda. Suffolk Bikes is the first group of it's kind in Boston, and we want you to contribute to our future.
