I am fairly new to Flickr, and I am so enjoying it!

Its like having a huge picture book! I have such a lovely time getting to peruse through all the many photostreams that are there with so many wonderful pictures that so take me back to my childhood, which incedently was quite a long time ago!

Not just childrens pictures but illustrations of so many of my favourite subjects, photos too!

I am one of Jehovahs witnesses, and as well as calling on people to talk to them about the wonderful good news thats in Gods word the bible, l am also a seamstress with my own business altering clothes and am kept very busy, and its been so good to see so many sewing projects!

I did four years in the R.A.F., I joined up when I was 17 and loved every minute of it!

I got to work with the famous Red Arrows, I packed all their parachutes and breakchutes, it was a great job!

Since leaving the forces though my job now consists of sewing for a living which I also love to do!

More and more I am seeing sewing as a lost art for many women, but you out there have given me hope that it far from lost after all!

I have also enjoyed going through all my daughters childhood books on the lookout for illustrations to put up on my own photostream, I have been more than pleasantly suprised by just how many I have found!

I have been getting into photoghraphy too these last few years and it's given me so much pleasure, and now I have the added joy of being able to share all these photos and pictures with you out there as well as sharing yours!

I love films and film stars, musicals,lovely vintage illustrations, vintage fashion, dolls, books, embroidery, sewing projects, quilts, cats, seasides, Whitby, York, history, birds, flowers, royalty, paper dolls, schoolchildren, school books and old sewing machinesof which I have many!

Most the images I have put on my photostream are from books, prints and paintings that I own, therfore they are all copyrighted and therefore cannot be used for commercial purposes.

Whoever came up with Flickr, wow, what a concept it has proved to be , thankyou!!
