I am an emerging photographer and mixed-media artist. I'm drawn to light, birds, angel statues, and scenes with an ethereal quality. I shoot digital photographs. Some I simply print; others I manipulate in Photoshop, print, adhere to canvas and finish with an archival encaustic medium, sometimes encasing bits of lace, ribbon, parts of bird's nests and other found objects within the bee's wax based medium. I like how the transparency of the encaustic medium adds luminosity and depth to my photographs. Connecting with others through my artwork --evoking shared emotions--is one of my greatest pleasures.
