Suburbanslice is one of my favourite photographers on Flickr. Striking the perfect balance between the documentation of modern-day London and artistically inspired photos I find his photostream to be almost endlessly entertaining to flick through. There are plenty of people on Flickr who take photos of train stations or buses or streets in order to document them, perhaps out of interest or just the want to preserve the present. These photos, although useful are rarely interesting. Suburbanslice manages to combine this documentation with a real eye for interesting shots and beautiful photographs. Someone who can make Penge East station or Charlie Brown's Roundabout into a wonderful subject for urban photography certainly deserves glowing praise. So if you'd like to keep any eye out for odd bits of London you might fancy visiting or if you have an interest in preserving the present then add this man as a contact. Not only is he a great photographer but always willing to reply to comments in a friendly and informative way.
