RR Steven Bissonnette
Drag to set position!
Growing up in South-Central Ontario in a strict Roman Catholic, no-nonsense, feet-on-the-ground, head-out-of-the-clouds family, pursuing a career in the Arts was not an option. So I suppressed my talents, towed the line and made the attempt to conform.
Those attempts led me to a career in Animation, first as an Opaquer, later on as Animation and Production Coordinator and ultimately as a self-taught Animation Artist.
As the Animation business dried up, I was forced to diversify my skills, but always kept my passion for the Arts strong and in tact.
Not so easy to categorize, my style ranges from the highly detailed and very time-consuming Pointalisms like Niagara on the Lake and Mont St Michel, to the Carpet Logo Art found in the Ottawa Senators' Dressing room and then to the pieces I enjoy pulling off the top of my head like Nosferatu.
Art is an outlet as much as it is an inlet. It is my escape, it is my mirror and it is my punching bag.
Whether it is a sense of power with the Wood Dragon, or a giggle from one of my Comic Strips, it is my hope that you enjoy my work.
