I GOT JUST MARRIED... Who'd have thought!

What can i say about myself. I met my wife (Flickr's elusive lusha) in November 2005 and we immediately hit it off. She said to me one day "I have a hobby, but i don't want you to laugh" It turns out that this hobby was photography. Well, I was amazed that anyone would find this hobby amusing, but I suppose it takes all types. She is the most wonderful and amazing person i have ever had the fortune to meet and i adore her without reservation or hesitation.

I had desparately wanted to be able to express myself through art for a long time. I tried it as a musician, but the rest of the 2 bands i started didn't take it seriously.

I would have loved to be a painter, but i can hardly paint a fence, let alone art.

I still stumble as a writer, but I never have time.

My first digital camera (some pics are on flickr) was an old Sony mavica. the one that takes 3 1/2" floppy discs. It did me very well up to a point, but i was finding the lack of resolution annoying to say the least. It took me a little while to save up for my next camera (Panasonic DMC LZ2, a little beauty.) which, while still being a compact, has done me proud. I was a little frustrated with the lack of resolution and low light intake, but this is to be expected to a degree of compacts. I am now the proud owner of a brand new Nikon D40, so hopefully i will be able to take the kind of pictures my mind see's. Thank you for taking an interest in what is rapidly becoming a large part of my life.

I am also one of the lucky and rare few who enjoy their job. I aint kidding, i love it. I aint kidding. I love the work, i like the people i work with and my boss is the best i've had the pleasure to work for to date.

PS. Please don't tell me to photoshop or crop my images. They are the way i took them for a reason. unless I am wrong.. It has been known lol.
