Photographer for some 20+ years, starting mostly as a consequence of interest in digital artwork paired with exposure to photography both introduced and encouraged by my dad who spent years shooting film in the field.

Worked as a real estate/commercial/architecture photographer for 8 years for a variety of client, choosing to leave the business just prior to COVID lockdowns (fortuitous timing, really). Took some time for me to find enjoyment in photography again after 8 years of it being a work-oriented tradecraft for so long, but it is genuinely nice to enjoy taking photos for my own sake again.

These days I am photographing birds a lot - It was always a type of photography I was interested in, and COVID lockdowns (again) inspired me to acquire the necessary optics to practice it. Mostly I just love birds, they are endlessly pretty and watching their behavior is an exercise in meditative calm.
