I am a senior citizen who main interest has been photography for almost 60 years. I have always had an interest in churches and stained glass windows, but didnt know very much about them or what I was looking at. When I retired over 12 years ago, I

thought that I would find out more about churches and their windows. I attended a WEA class on SG for 4 years, then when that finished a group of regular members deceided to form the 'Leicester Stained Glass Appreciation Group' That was 6 years ago and we are still going strong. I take a lot of my photographes on church visits on a Canon PowerShot S60 compact, because it give me just what I require, is easy to use and carry about. Plus I always take a small pair of binoculars to veiw the fine details of a window. Last year I bought a Canon G1x a superb camera for my style of photography indoor shots up to 3200 iso are no problem, ideal for taking pictures in churches, I normal have the iso set to a max of 1600, and always shoot in aperture priority mode.
