I fell in love with photography when I took a photo class in high school as a lark. I've always taken pictures but there are times when I get distracted with other pursuits and set my camera down, for years at a time even. In retrospect, I am sad that there are places I've been that I have no photographic record of (Thailand, Korea, England, etc). I am an extremely impatient person so my photos are more of the point and shoot out the car window variety as opposed to being highly technical. I rarely photograph people. I use the same camera my parents bought me as a teenager, or alternatively, a disposable from the supermarket. I just purchased a digital camera about two weeks ago and am learning to use it.

I started up on flickr mainly so my family and friends, who all live far away, can see what we've been up to. I also hope to meet new flickr friends as I know there is much they can teach me.

I now have a decent digital camera and am learning photoshop properly, albeit slowly. Progress...
