Strep72 is one of those rare photographers who doesn't need a dramatic location, an expansive landscape, a stunning sunset or an arsenal of expensive equipment (I said need not want Duncan) Rather, his work takes simple, mundane, everyday scenes or objects and transforms them. He doesn't see things the way most of us see them. Often he sees things most of us don' t see. And then he makes them interesting or beautiful or weird, but always thought provoking. And then there is the wit. Typically, the work will jar you a little, visually. Then comes the "Ahh, yes!" as the hidden meaning, or joke, or commentary sinks in. And I won't get started on the technical brilliance because it will probably make him blush......
