I am a city planner, trombonist, and amateur city photographer living in San Francisco, California.
My photographic interest is in how light intersects with buildings and other urban features. I especially like reflected light that randomly intersects with other objects. Some of what I am trying to do is to make still photo's seem cinematic as if they are one frame from a film. I am also interested in the entanglements of humans with the built environment.
I don't print photo's or sell them, and I am not interested in being a 'photographer', I take photos only for my personal play and because I love cities.
I studied photography at the University of New Mexico with Beaumont Newhall and Wayne Rod Lazorik and film with Ira Jaffe.
StreetUtopia is interested in finding ways to reduce the amount of paved right-of-way that is used tor automobiles and instead use it for pedestrian and other people uses.
