Update 2019:

So it's now 2019 and Flickr says I joined in 2010. Nearly 10 years as an amateur photographer. I've continued to improve, done a few weddings even. It's great to see the way my style has developed and changed.

OP 2010:

I was introduced to the hobby by a friend and it has now become a large part of my life. My camera is practically attached to my arm these days. Being so new, I obviously have a heck of a lot to learn, but I take photo's for me and not anyone else. If other people like them too, that's a bonus.
