I've always thought of myself as artistic, but didn't take the opportunity to explore photography much until good quality, cheap digial cameras became available.

While I've studied many things academic, I never took formal art/photography training beyond a few secondary school art and journalism classes. But I think my study in college of foreign languages and advanced math informs my photographic eye.
